Saturday evening was my boyfriend’s sister’s wedding! Her ceremony was at the beautiful St. Monica – St. George Church in Clifton, and the reception was at the Krippendorf Lodge in the Cincinnati Nature Center in Milford. It was a lot of fun to be her “unofficial” planner. It is always a bit strange for me to be a guest at a wedding, but I was actually able to let it all go and enjoy myself. My wonderful crew (Lauren, Amanda, Emily and Hannah) was on hand to help with set-up at the Krippendorf Lodge so that I could get to the church in time for the ceremony. Julie of Elegant Fare was a huge help throughout the whole process. Sarah put a lot of DIY projects into her wedding, and they all turned out great. She did all of her own centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnières, and they were fabulous! She was smart to keep them simple, and they looked gorgeous in the setting of the Nature Center. She put together her own candy bar (which in addition to the ice cream sundae bar served as dessert in place of traditional wedding cake), and together we made super cute programs which fit in perfectly with her green/white/yellow theme. The groom Adam’s favorite band, “Jerry’s Little Band” was the perfect choice for the setting, and thanks to an abundance of bug spray set out in convenient spots, I didn’t get a single bite :)
