Thank you to everyone who came out for the Bitter Bridesmaid Bash last week! It was such a fun night, and wouldn’t have happened without all of you and of course all of our sponsors. I want to especially thank Terri Schmitt of the The Very Zest for donating her delicious creations, DJ Toad for keeping everyone dancing at The Avenue and Say Cheese Photobooth for providing free photos at the end of the evening. The numbers are in and we collected 175 dresses! I want to give a special thank you to Jerri Reynolds who held her own dress drive at work pre-Bash, and brought in 40 dresses for us! If you didn’t make the event and still have dresses or accessories to donate, please check out Kenzie’s Closet’s website for more details on how to donate or contact The Bridal Studio to arrange a drop-off.
Calling all Mariemont Alums– the newly formed Alumni Association will be hosting two events on Friday for the Homecoming game against Taylor. From 5:00 – 7:30, join fellow alums Holly Menchhofer, Steve Early, Jim Singler, Andy Black and moi for tailgating at Rembold (free hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks!) and to learn more about membership. After the game we’ll be hosting an after-party at Wooster Tavern (10 pm to 2am). For more details email alumni@mariemontschools.org. Learn more about the Alumni Association here.

Aviva Events was recently added to the Library at Elizabeth Anne Designs. EAD is a fabulous source for wedding ideas and inspiration. Check it out here: Elizabeth Anne Designs. For more wedding-related blogs, take out a peek at our “wedding inspiration” links in the right-hand column.

Now that I’ve been working to make sure the blog is fully up-to-date, I’ve realized I never recapped Ryan and Colin’s wedding! Here are the details, along with some gorgeous professional pics, courtesy of Bob White of White Photography.
Pre-wedding, the rehearsal dinner was held at Skyline Chili downtown — they’ll shut down the restaurant for you and bring in Montgomery Inn & LaRosa’s appetizers and Graeter’s for dessert — a true “taste of Cincinnati”. Email for more details on how to set it up!
The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at the Ault Park Pavilion. The bridal party (moms included!) all had their makeup done by the uber talented Nancy of Brideface. The flowers were the work of Courtenay Lambert –check out the flowers on our poor Mother’s crutch! She broke her foot AND sprained her ankle not too long before the wedding. The flowers were all in bold shades of purple and blue, and the subtle lilac linens from All Occasions complimented them perfectly. Chef’s Choice Catering (ask for Brittany!) provided a fantastic dinner and their service was impeccable. As always, BonBonerie’s cake was to-die-for. DJ Toad kept the reception going and we ended the night with a sparkler send-off.
