Chris and Lindsay’s Wedding at Collier Chapel and Schindler Banquet Center | Xenia, Ohio
July 16, 2010
When Lindsay first contacted me, she was just six weeks away from her wedding day. She and her mom had planned everything, but as the day got closer they were starting to stress about the final details and decided to hire a wedding coordinator. I was so excited that we still had her date available, and were able to take that extra stress away. We helped pull together the weekend timeline, took care of confirming all of the vendors (including the last-minute addition of a videographer) and helped to create a seating plan for their 270 guests (a never fun task made much easier by our seating plan software). With all of the loose ends tied up, it was time for Lindsay and Chris to get married and celebrate with their friends and family!
Lindsay has impeccable style and it was clear that purple is her favorite color. From the bridesmaids’ and flower girls’ dresses to the floral arrangements and the table numbers/menus (created by Lindsay’s mom, Holly), all of the various shades of purple tied in together to create a beautiful, vintage look and feel. The ceremony took place at Collier Chapel, located on The Legacy Campus in Xenia, Ohio. The addition of a simple fabric curtain at the back of the chapel was all that was needed to create a perfect and dreamy look for the ceremony.
The Legacy Campus is home to many gorgeous spots that photographers Sandra and Shad of Sandra Reed Photography took advantage of for capturing portraits of Lindsay, Chris, their wedding party and families. Lindsay and Chris chose to have their “first look” earlier in the day before the ceremony, so that they would have more than enough time for photos and would not have to miss much of the beginning of their reception for post-ceremony photos.
The reception took place at Schindler Banquet Center, also located on The Legacy Campus. The Banquet Center is a gorgeous room filled with tall windows, and Lindsay chose beautiful ivory and champagne linens to continue the vintage look. Her cake table and escort card table were accented with purple/gold linens that tied in beautifully with all of the details of the day. All of the floral arrangements and personal flowers were created by Mark at The Flower Shoppe, and the delicious 6-tier cake was designed and baked by Melissa at Frosted.
The reception included an Italian Soda bar where guests could choose their own flavors, and a photobooth from Shutterbooth. After dancing through the evening to music played by Scott of Party Pleasers, Lindsay and Chris exited through a line of sparklers for a picture-perfect send off!
